  • Traction/Spinal Decompression – Gentle, controlled stretching to relieve neck and back pain. Spinal decompression is helpful to patients with conditions such as sciatica, herniated/bulging discs and degenerative discs.
  • Gait Training – Teaches proper walking and running techniques to patients who have been injured or need to learn how to walk again. This therapy is useful for patients who need post-surgery therapy, have suffered strokes or have conditions such as sports injuries, Parkinson’s disease, etc…
  • Therapeutic Exercises/Range of Motion – These exercises help to release constricted muscles and tendons, increase endurance, reduce rigidity as well as improve circulation and coordination.
  • Strengthening Exercises – A variety of specialised exercises to improve strength and endurance as well as to maintain or improve range of motion.
  • Work Hardening – This is a specialised rehabilitation programme for patients who are not at full capacity and may not be able to work because of recent or long-term injuries. Work Hardening uses proper body mechanics in work-related activities to recondition and restore full usage of the muscles.
  • Pilates Rehab – Build core strength and helps with back and knee issues. Pilates also raises body awareness and helps to correct posture.
  • Hot/Cold Therapy – Application of heating pads and cold packs to reduce swelling and pain as well as relax muscles
  • Ultrasound/Phonopheresis – Sound waves used to relieve pain and muscle spasms. It also helps to break up scar tissue. This type of therapy is used for patients with sprains, strains, tendonitis, bruises and open wounds.
  • Massage/Myofascial Release – Connective tissue massage technique that relaxes muscles, relieves pain and restores motion. It is used to treat a variety of conditions.
  • Electric Stimulation ( TENS Premod, Russian and Interferntial Therapy)
    – Reduces swelling as well as aids in muscle recovery. It is especially helpful for patients with lower back pain resulting from disc issues.
  • Laser Therapy – Assists in pain management, reduces muscle inflammation and assists in healing. Laser therapy is helpful to patients who suffer from arthritis and sports injuries.
  • Women’s Health – Exercises to strengthen pelvic floor muscles to treat urinary incontinence. Women’s health also includes help with back / pelvic pain during pregnancy or just after giving birth.
  • Continuous Passive Movement (CPM) Shoulder/ Knee – Post-operative therapy to ensure joint flexibility and improve range of movement.
  • Osteoporosis Treatment – Physiotherapy treatment can help in the management of osteoporosis before a fracture or rehabilitation after a fracture; by showing patients the correct ways to move to prevent injury, providing specific exercise programs, and suggesting devices to assist with walking.
